Please take some time to LISTEN to the clip at the bottom of this page, and WATCH the first video on the right about different forms of Government. It's a nice and different look at what we think we know when in reality, we have no idea, we really have...no........idea.
Nice video, there really isn't anything groundbreaking its saying, but its good for the uneducated.
ReplyDeleteThe founding fathers did not have our interests at heart, its no fluke that James Madison had to be coaxed into even putting in a Bill Of Rights by Patrick Henry. The founding fathers were determined to Tame Democracy and the Republic in a fashion that they could control it to best suit its needs.
check out my blog if your interested in reading about the history of the bill of rights under the archives, thepersianexpedition.blogspot.com
This video was actually very similar to what Glen Beck was saying tongiht on the O'Reilly Factor
ReplyDeleteno...O'Reilly needs to die, and I'm not quite sure thats what they are talking about int he video as more towards the beginning it says "what have you given us [Benjamin Franklin]" and he says "A republic, if you can keep it" meaning that was the best for the nation, they knew about democracies and their faults, they did not want to turn this nation into a democracy--->oligarachy---->monarch (dictator, etc) because thats what they just fought to get away from, you're missing the point on B. Frank! I've heard about James Madison lacking on the BofR, I would be interested in checking that out.
ReplyDeleteIt's naive to think that any of the founding fathers had any of our interests at heart. If so they wouldn't of created a system that completley benefited them and not the hardworking middle class that actually lost their lives for the revolution. The founding fathers only got behind the revolution once they realized that if they didn't reign in the middle class and control them they would lose their hold over the country. They had no qualms of remaining a dominion of the British Empire when only the middle class was being manipulated and effected. You should stop idolizing the founding fathers and see them for what they actually were. And if you actually observe the government structure they created, its very similar to the British structure. The constitution was an attempt to actually scale back democracy to put barriers in in. They wanted to create a firewall against democracy so the few could benefit while the many suffered. Trust me "BFrank" did not have our best interest at heart. .Check out Taming Democracy by Terry Bouton. Look beyond the quotes sir and look into their motives.
ReplyDeletePlus O'Reilly is no different than any other news ideologue on TV, you can argue Keith Olberman, Chris Matthews are just as bad in th eir own right if not worse. At least he gives a different point of view that many Americans share, if you listen to what he says, he doesn't criticize blindly, hes not perfect, but he does give a fair assesment on many topics, including the president and the economy. Its naive to say one thing about one news man and then ignore the rest of the news media that focuses on innane mentuia such as MSNBC devoting a whole day onto what the first lady was wearing.
Ok, 2 things...
ReplyDelete1. Can you say "Naive" one more time?
2. Any news is not credible, Fox News is just the worst, I don't get any information from that corrupt organization of the few, the independent news companies are great sources of information. And "Look beyond the quotes", really? They knew what was right (not having a fed money supply, fed reserve, etc), and if you think what you have expressed then you've shown your opinions, not fact, so don't try and diminish what I'm saying by calling me "naive" because compared to anyone whose lead our country in the past years, the "founding fathers" are god damn saints.
If you actually study the history of our founding fathers, you'd find that George Washington did not even free his own slaves. And many of them were filled with the same amount of flaws that these same people do now. How can you base your judgement of the founding fathers over what texts are available. Are you not aware of the wave of fake history that was written about them in the 19th and early 20th century? They actually created the banking system that manipulated the public and bankrupted the nation, so your point there is flawed. And only Andrew Jackson wanted to reverse the banking system and that was reversed there also. I don't think you actually know what the founding fathers actually did. You can lionize them all you want. If they were so magical as you like to think they are, why did they rush the ratification of the constitution in an unjust process that prevented the public from even viewing the constitution that limited their own rights. Please be aware that bill of rights was something fought for by the public not them. Lets ask why they limited the powers of the voters, why senators were appointed not elected. Lets examine, why the founding fathers forced the farmers to pay their debts off in gold and silver when they had none and refused to be paid in paper money.
ReplyDeleteLets wonder why the founding fathers despised the only state in the union Rhode Island that actually granted the liberty and freedom they so proclaimed.
Before you try to make broad generalizations about a topic you obviously know nothing about, how about you go read on the subject.
What news company is independent, the AP? They have liberal views too, if you knew anything about foreign policy you'd understand the liberties they take on Iran. Who else the NY Times? A Random Blog? These are not independent news sources do you even know what actually goes on in Iran? Or do you just take what the NY Times or AP or even worse Reuters feeds you.
ReplyDeleteyou make me laugh kid
ReplyDeletezero...I'm not having a debate on shit that I really don't know alot about, I agree to that, Will says your a history major so i mean come on??? BUT in my defense I was never even cheerleading these men, I just simply said that they were probably better than the men that have recently been running this country. I just don't appreciate being called "naive" especially when I have an open mind about any hot issue.
ReplyDeleteMr. Chris,
ReplyDeleteI apologize for calling you naive, it was uncalled for and rude. I appreciate your open mind to topics and your willingness to learn. Sorry if I came off as a dick.
